Redknapp Cleared

A unanimous decision finds 'Arry not guilty. Good thing, keeps him in the game for the England job since Capello is digging himself deeper and deeper holes to try to get out of.
Thoughts?

  1. I haven't read up much on the case, so I can't really comment on his guilt, but, he's Harry, and he's got a tick, so I hate him.

Is he someone who you would want to manage England, Dylan? I can't tell if you're being facetious. Harry, from what I have read from former players, is very tactically ... naive. He has the "ra-ra!" English spirit, but one former player joked that the whiteboard in the dressing room was always blank.

The England job reminds me a bit of the Notre Dame football job. It's a "great" job because its England, but lately the team has underachieved and are a tad overrated.

  2. Actually I think I'd like to see Martin O'Neill in the England job. Harry's name seems to be getting put around lately and I'm not sold on it at all. Seems that a lot of pundits have had enough of Capello so it's time to start throwing names around for after the Euros.

  3. My question is why is Capello so disliked among the press and fans. He has stepped in and turned the Three Lions into a merit based team. He seems to have eliminated the idea of favorites or players being owed a spot. There appears to be genuine competition for places. That has to be a good thing.

England underperforming is based on myriad other factors. Go here (http://amzn.to/2HMcY7) for more details on that.

Harry may do a great job, if/when given the opportunity... I just can't why they are pushing Capello out the door.

  4. I could see "after the Euros as being an ideal time for a change.

  5. Just as a thought, in line with what's been said about Klinnsman and his pre-game rhetoric, the whole "ra-ra" approach isn't a bad approach for international competitions. Teams can play every game like a cup final and make a run deep into the World Cup or the Euros. Having said that, I hate Harry.
